A Guide for the Curious Soul

What exactly is Reiki? Think of Reiki as a way to "tune" your body’s internal radio. We are all made of energy, and sometimes life’s stress creates "static" in our signal. Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique where a practitioner uses gentle touch (or hovering hands) to help clear that static, allowing your natural healing energy to flow freely again.

How does it work with my medical treatments? This is where my practice is unique. As a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, I ensure that your Reiki sessions act as a "bridge" to your medical care. It doesn't replace your doctor's orders; instead, it calms your nervous system so your body is in the best possible state to respond to those treatments.

What will I feel during a session? Most people describe a deep sense of warmth, tingling, or "lightness." It is common to enter a state of profound relaxation—similar to that moment right before you fall asleep. This is the "sweet spot" where your body begins its most restorative work.

Do I have to believe in anything for it to work? Not at all. Reiki isn't a religion; it's a practice of balancing the body's natural frequencies. Much like a physical therapy session for your muscles, Reiki is a session for your nervous system and energetic field. All that is required is an openness to rest.

I believe that healing is most effective when you are at your most relaxed. That’s why I offer mobile services that bring Resonant Reiki straight to your door. There is no need to commute; instead, you can experience a deep sense of peace and grounding within your own home. We can set up your session on a comfortable chair, sofa, or bed—wherever you feel most supported and safe.
